We have to find inspiration somewhere!!! I find, I like, and I make it!!! Like I have mentioned before I'm not one to spend big amounts on one single item. The Polka Dot trend is coming around and Marc Jacobs featured an oh so cute polka dot shirt that I just had to have. Jess and I decided  to make our own version, sweater style (because its winter) Here was our inspiration...

DIY CANVAS DECORATIONS

My new goal is to get my house mostly decorated by Thanksgiving so I can show my family without being embarrassed of my naked walls. I am doing A LOT of DIY projects. A LOT. I will be posting a few. The great thing about the projects I do is they are super simple, don't cost much and you can mix and match to fit your style!! I'm going to be showing you how to make canvas wall decorations.

Here are the supplies you will need:

1. Canvas

2. Scrapbook Paper

3. ModPodge or Tacky Glue

My first board I did I used Mod Podge. Some scrapbook paper is too thick for Mod Podge and I ended up ruining the paper. So I switched over to tacky glue and that did the job. This project seriously takes five minutes with the tacky glue. You can find scrap book paper at most craft stores and there are tons of options.

GOAL CHART - FUN STYLE

Me and my friend Jess made a goal chart. Not just any goal chart!! Wanna know why? It has pictures. We got a few magazines and cut out pictures and words and made these fun charts. We were a little bored and avoiding homework. Sometimes we like to do kid crafts. 

Obviously this is great for anyone. If you have kids they can make fun goals by drawing and gluing pictures, you can do it as a family together or individually like we did.

DIY OUTLET COVERS

STILL working on our house. Yes, still. Most of the big projects are done (painting, carpet, building ish, more painting) and now its time for the fun stuff!! Decorating!!! So Pinterest has been my inspiration. I found this DIY project on pinterest and had to do it. The plain light switches are fine but adding some life to them makes a room look amazing. Who would have known!
