I am SO excited for this week. See that snow on the ground? I'm saying goodbye to the white stuff and hello to palm trees and sunshine!! I decided to get out of the cold and nasty air here in Northern Utah and head to St. George for a week because, why not? I'm so excited to take Charly outside and use her stroller (finally) and enjoy some clean air and sunshine. There is a good chance we may never come back. ;) To see our adventures follow me on snapchat: jalynnschroeder.

Today I decided to keep my outfit pretty simple and go with different textures. I read a discussion a few people were having on FB about outfits and not being able to mix textures and prints (which I do pretty much every outfit) so of course I wanted to show here that you CAN mix textures. I don't believe in "fashion rules" so let's just get that out in the open. If you look close this gorgeous high quality skirt is a thick paisley like print, my top is a think lace top and my heels are a hair calf material. this isn't extreme pattern mixing, but it's a great example of how to start simple.

The skirt has definitely become a favorite in my closet very fast. Everyone should have a black skirt! I love the thickness and print along with the pleats that give it a little life! I like that it poufs out a little instead of laying flat on my body. It is a great skirt to hide my mommy tummy! This skirt also comes in blue and red and they are both gorgeous as well. You can see them here.

I haven't been wearing a lot of jewelry lately. I got out of the habit when I was pregnant and swollen. I'm trying to do a little here and there and this outfit was the perfect match for this necklace. I love the pop of gold! Fashionest has some really cute necklaces. I love the fringe style the most! I'm also obsessed with this fringe necklace as well. Gorgeous right?! Such a simple statement piece!

I hope you had a great weekend!

XO
