YOU GUYS!!! I have my very own spray tan system in my home now. Can you say awesome?! The coolest thing ever, so I had to share!! So I'm sure you are wondering why have your own spraying tan system? Let me give you a few reasons!
First, fake baking is not good. I have chatted about taking better care of myself as I am getting older and I am taking it seriously! I don't want wrinkles, I don't want cancer, and I don't want any sort of sun damage. Unfortunately I faked baked and didn't wear sun screen for the last 15 years so I really have to take the necessary steps in protecting my skin.
Second, it is convenient and stress free!! I do NOT like going to a salon to get sprayed. It is uncomfortable and then I have to get back into clothes to go home. I end up feeling gross, it is a huge pain, and I have never had a great experience getting spray tanned at a salon whether it was being sprayed by someone or using a machine.
Third, because why not?! I am a firm believer that sometimes we need these things in our lives to make us feel better. After having a baby it was so important to me to spend the money and take the time to do these small things for myself to feel pretty. I mean, I pushed a freakin' human out of my body and pregnancy completely CHANGED my body. I at least deserve a dang tan! ;)
When I first shared my new system on Snapchat (@jalynnschroeder) I had a few questions about my skin turning orange. Great news, there will be no oompa loompa skin around here! Here is why: The most common reason that a spray tan will turn orange is because of a low quality DHA like DHA coming out of China. Soel Beauty's solution is manufactured in the United States in order to have the highest quality and freshest solution possible. Also using a solution with too high of DHA percentage can cause the skin to have an orangish look. When you start doing your at home spray tan, start out lower and work up to your desired darkness for your skin!
What is DHA? DHA is a colorless 3-carbon sugar that when applied to the skin causes a chemical reaction with amino acids in the surface cells of the skin producing a darkening effect. DHA does not damage the skin as it only affects the outermost cells of the skin.
